Battery life poor even with new battery

Hi,

Even after replacing the battery in my iPad Air 2 it seems to drain quickly. I have been advised that maybe one of the pins on the battery is not making a connection and therefore not all battery cells are not in use.[br]

Is this even possible since it works and charges as normal? Is it more likely a poor quality battery?
