laptop shuts down randomly

Hey guys,
I'm having a problem with my Mac Book Pro Mid 2009 for almost 6 months now.
Despite its age its works fine all the way with El Capitan except the problem that it randomly shuts down. Biggest issue after having shut down: doesn't want to restart. I always pushed the button 5 to 10 times but usually nothing happened. No lights at all.
But then one time, frustrated how I was, I started carefully knocking on the backside to make it start again. So knocking carefully at the upper left backside where the battery is located seems to be fixing the problem every time it happens. Without knocking it wouldn’t be able to start again.
Well, I still don't know what the problem is,because my we opened it and couldn't find anything weird. But the "knocking method" works perfectly.
-I don't know what it is in your case, but in mine it definitely can't be a software problem.
+I don't know what it is but, it can't be a software problem.
-PS: Excuse me for my bad English :-D it’s not my first or everyday language….
