I have a dead MacBook and am trying to deduce if it is likely the logic board or the USB-C port. I would be confident to follow the guide to replace the port if necessary but probably wouldn’t bother if it were a logic board issue.
I can confirm the charger and cable are fine as I have another MacBook same model charging fine. When I plug a phone or peripheral into this MacBook I get no sign of any power after leaving the MacBook charging over night.
Are there reasonably simple tests I can do such as disconnecting the battery or visibly looking at the logic board which would rule out either one as the culprit?
