Sorry for the very very late answer but in my standards if you look in this website http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Intel_(chipsets)/GM965_Express.html the best cpu you can add and that goes with everyone with a 35 tdp cpu is a t9500. you also have to update the bios to the latest aswell.
