Little trick for ya if you end up having to do hardware.  I have experienced this many times.  If it is actual hardware. It is the charge port.  Before you fully replace charge port attempt this. Works about 50% of the time.  Without full disassemble. Attach the new charge port, disconnect and reconnect the old one. Not sure why this works but it does.
