Power issues, not recharging or switching on

My computer was initially not holding a charge and warned me that the battery needed replacing. I procrastinated replacing the battery, it stopped recharging intermittently and wouldn’t always turn on. I took it into Simply Mac and they ran diagnostics and told me I needed a new I/O board but I had to order one from a 3rd party, yada yada…

So I skipped spending the coin at simply mac and replaced my I/O board and battery myself. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the “new” (refurb) I/O board as it has signs of corrosion on the port (I had to get it from someone other than ifixit as they were out). Got the replacement I/O board and battery in and for a while I was a happy camper… I still noticed some issues. Like the computer would only charge with the charger oriented in one direction and sometimes I would have to tweak it a certain way to get the little light on the charger to turn orange to get it to charge.

Now computer has stopped charging completely and once again I’m unable to turn my computer on. Is the replacement I/O board that I installed faulty..? Or is something wrong with my charger? Or is it something else?
