Why does my right bumper push my right trigger when repairing?

I’m trying to fix up a faulty right bumper and when putting in the new bumper plate it seems to push the right trigger as well whenever I seat it correctly. Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it?

I’m trying to fix up a faulty right bumper and when putting in the new bumper plate it seems to push the right trigger as well whenever I seat it correctly. I’ve checked and there doesn’t appear to be anything different to the left side which doesn’t push the trigger when the bumper is pressed. Does anyone know what part may cause this and how to fix it?
