I'm not sure why these joystick modules dont have dielectric grease inside their housings. It would keep contact on the inside making external particles less of an issue. I opened mine up, blew it out, and put a tiny dab of silicone grease in them. Another fix would be prevention. Wash your hands before use, and stop eating and playing games at the same time! All that worthless crap you put in your bodies as snacks are really screwing up your equipment. Also , ry turning down movement sensitivity to compensate until you can't, then buy a new one. Playstation is better than all those other aftermarket hardware makers.
