Battery life depends on how it is used e.g. constant deep discharging or not, how often it is being recharged and from what state of charge it is being recharged etc.
Laptop batteries are built to handle a certain number of charge cycles ~500 from a complete discharge but it may be more if charging from a higher charge state.
Perhaps a good indicator is to see how long a battery lasts before it needs to be recharged i.e. how quickly does it discharge when being used normally.
There are a lot of factors that can affect the performance of a battery, not just the one.
