It is called a speaker relay. It is there to protect your speakers from DC current burning them out. I could be that it just needs adjusted to lower the DC offset 99% of the time when the red protection light comes on or the relay does ot make a sound or turns on then off in is a bad component. It will need to be looked at by someone who is familar with electronics.
