MacBook Air will only start charging after draining battery.

(FYI already tried a new battery, new charge port, new charger and reset SMC many times).
I have a MacBook Air 13” early 2015 with a curious issue….the laptop will only start charging the battery once is has completely drained it. [br]
so, when the battery is drained, I plug in the MagSafe and the laptop turns on and starts charging. Will go to 100%. Once it’s at 100% the status on the battery indicator will change to no charging and the battery will slowly drain. Laptop works perfectly until of course the battery is dead. Then I unplug the charger, laptop turns on and goes through the same cycle. [br]
