Changing the USB ports helped me. I have a 3 sensor setup. After hundreds of fails, I finally changed the USB ports. It finally started trying to work every 10 tries or so; however, it would want me to turn the sensor and start over. Finally I moved my hand rather than the sensor. This worked well - finally.
