Phone overheats and shuts down after inserting sim card

Hey there. Recently I had to replace the microphone flex on a Z5. After that, I inserted the SIM card to test it. At first, everything worked, it received the network signal, but I couldn’t manage to get LTE. After some time, it overheated and restarted by itself, but after restarting it was unable to find a network signal and began overheating as soon as I lauched pretty much any app. After ejecting the SIM card it didn’t overheat and I was able to launch several apps. Could the insufficient heat dissipation caused by first disassembly be the cause of such behavior?
