Device overheats and won't turn on with battery replacement

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

The original battery died about a year ago, after having the tablet for 4 years. I'm sure it was the battery since it was starting to cause problems when I tried to charge it, and it had strange behavior when charging it. So, about two weeks ago, I bought a new battery, but as soon as I plugged it in, the tablet started overheating, so I had to unplug the battery before there was any damage to the motherboard. I checked the original battery's wattage, and it is 15.20Wh. But the wattage of the replacement was 16.20Wh. Does this have anything to do? I really hope it isn't the tablet because it was just fine until it suddenly stopped turning on. Thanks in advance
