Not sure if this will work but hopefully the firmware was stored in non volatile memory and only the "user settings” would be lost in the event of no power or backup power.
Try a hard reset to see if it restores the device.
Here’s how to perform a hard reset
''Press and hold'' the top left silver button, silver circle on the right, and then the power key. You should get the rainbow screen. It will then switch to the load screen followed by the main menu screen.
