sometimes when only the left trigger is pulled both triggers will activate I have attached pictures showing both controller and ‘xbox controller tester’ app to illustrate,

happens most often after right trigger has been pressed lightly. momentarily clears if the right trigger is quickly fully depressed and released. opening the back of the controller revealed no obvious defects.
