How do I replace sliding door electric lock

Hi,  I have a 2006 Caddy camper. The left hand sliding door lock does not work automatically.  It makes a horrid growling sound when we unlock.  I’ve removed the internal lining, but can’t seem to access the lock.  Please suggest how to access.
