My computer shut off, grey smoke came out and will not turn back on?

I was playing a game on my gaming laptop, while plugged into my charger specifically for this computer and as I was playing the computer shut of out of no where and then I saw a small bit of grey/white smoke came out of the SD port. I have disassembled my computer three times now. The first time I cleaned the fans and tried to start her up again and it wouldn’t turn on. Second I tried to replace the battery (I ordered the wrong one so it really didn’t go anywhere), thirdly I went all the way down to the motherboard to see if anything was visibly damaged and I have found nothing.
The one thing that is peculiar is that the power button seems to not even affect the computer. Whether it is plugged in or not I press the power button and it doesn’t seem to even illicit a response.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated!
