Can't get my Amazon fire stick to work.

I recently changed my internet provider and I forgot to change the wifi on my fire TV stick. So now I am trying to sync it to a remote I was using for another fire TV stick in another room so i can change the wifi, but I am unable to sync it. (Btw I was using an app on my phone as a remote for this one.) Can someone please help
