I had this problem after nearly 3 years of use,[br] - [br] - - Sometimes the SIM cards don't make good contact because of poor quality trays in the phone. [br] - - Putting some paper under the sim card worked for me so far. [br] - - Let me know if it works. [br] + Things that didn’t work for me:[br] + - Restarting the phone.[br] + - Resetting the phone.[br] + - Using *#*#4636#*#* menu to change to other sim card settings. [br] + - Changing the sim-card.[br] + - Sending phone to repair to check if there is any hardware related problem. [br] + [br] + In the end, I end up buying a new phone. [br] + [br] + Such a shame a perfectly good phone had this problem after less then 3 years of perfectly good use. [br] + [br] + Please let me know if you figured out a way to make the compact x work again. [br] + [br] + [br]
