I accidently dropped my boyfriends ipad and the screen is broken

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

Hello everyone,
Well I was carrying the ipad inside my back pack accidently dropped my backpack and it had that logitech case with keyboard. which did not protect it. I opened it there were huge spider webs and one big hole on one side. Still works, turns on, I can write on it. But I want to replace the screen for him since it was my fault. So my question is if I try to fix it myself is there any soldering that has to be done? I have fixed macbooks and iphones but soldering is not my thing. I wanted to know if there was another way to fix it or is that a must do step. Thank you for reading my long post. And hoping for a quick reply. =D

+No soldering needed. I saw this video that it said if you don’t know how to micro solder stop right here and get it repaired somewhere else. Also if I get the screen here would be an Apple refurbished or third party? Worried about the True Tone and range of colors.
