Why am I having touch issues after screen replacement?

I have replaced 2 separate iPhone XR screens lately. Both repairs I’ve followed very well instructions and done everything by the book. Both devices have started acting up after repair. My biggest issue is the touch screen not responding, ghost touch, clicking when nobody’s touching it. I’ve tried putting other screens on it and still happens. What could be the cause?
