Why won't my Xbox one afterglow prasmatic controller work?

Hi all… hope to get a bit of help here…
My step-sons afterglow prasmatic controller has stopped working….. he was using it yesterday went to the bathroom came back and boom… nothing responded… tryed a reboot on the controller, changed the cable, took the housing off and dusted the circuit board, still nothing…. All there is now is the light the surrounds the controller is a steady blue but nothing else…..is there something else I can try or is it knackered???
