Has anyone else experienced wifi card failures in this model?

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

I’ve had a total of 4 of this particular model in for repair that has failing wifi connectivity. If I take it apart and reseat everything, and even done a full re-install; the issue still persists. Seeing as the wifi card is part of the actual logic board in this design, I’m assuming the only solution to fix this is to replace the logic board. Does anyone else have another solution?

+
+Ya,
+
+It will work intermittently, and sometimes it won't download files. speediest.net (can't connect to server).
+
+I successfully managed to download Google Chrome, but then it won't install.
+
+I had Steve Corral come in here a couple of years ago with 2 MacBooks, same year, with x'ed out wifi - same model as this one I'm tinkering with.
+
+It was under warranty so I was able to replace the board for him. I haven't heard from him since then so I'm assuming that solved it.
+
+This one is not as bad as his, but it still isn't functioning like it should. It sees all the available wireless networks, connects, and then won't download stuff, or do something like speediest.net. There are not restrictions in the safari settings and everything should work, but it just doesn't.
+
+I think this issue might be software related somehow or it could be the hard drive.
+
+When I boot externally to another operating system I don’t have any of the issues. Everything works.
+
+I’ll keep you guys posted, and thanks for your input.
