No real solution… I just got a hold of a used table with the same problem. All I can think of is try what Pawel said..disconnect the battery and reconnect it. Also replace the battery with a new one that has a charge in it. But To take apart the tablet you will need special phone repair “prying tools” (from ebay) so you don’t damage the tablet casing & screen while taking the back casing off.
Another possible problem is the small charging board inside may be damaged or shorted out so it may not be reliably charging battery…it may need replacing (maybe a $10-15 part). Buying the part and changing battery may cost around $30-45 total just to try all of this…and theres a chance that we may still have a dead tablet.
-So if the tablet is worth it, then try it. If not, then move on to a new tablet.
