I’ve had the same problem. My roommate would stand hunched over with the fridge door open while staring wistfully at all my food, while rhymically taping their fingernail on the outside of the fridge. You may want to have a frank talk with your roommate about their marijuana habit, and proper grocery planning. This stopped a lot of the clicking noises from the fridge; for me. I plan to use my shop vac in blower mode, next time I hear the clicking. This should clear my roommate away from the front of the fridge, so I can blow the remaining dust off the compressor coil. The shop vac in suction mode removed a lot of dust and hair; this improved the functionality of the compressor; mostly stopping the overheat sensor from clicking on. Maybe just do a combination of first suction then blower, to really de insulate your compressor coil. Keep the shop vac handy in blower mode for your roommate, or husband/wife, whatever the case may be.
