TouchID not working iPhone 6

I have iphone 6 running ios 12.1.4, i'am having problem with touchid, i tried all the DIY things that were suggested in the websites but still no luck, my "add fingerprint" option is available and not greyed out but still after clicking it, it says FAILED unable to setup touchid.

Please help.
