My post data states I have a Whirlpool, but that is not the case. There wasn’t an option for GE. I have an older low end top loading GE clothes washer (about 15 years old). When the washer is not running, water leaks into the tub. This happens when the electricity is plugged in and when it is not plugged in. Only the cold water leaks in. The hot water does not. From everything I’ve read online, it seems like this should be caused by a faulty water inlet valve. But I’ve already replaced that and it still leaks. I’ve seen a couple online posts about people thinking that water pressure could be an issue in cases like this. Even if this is a possible cause, it is not what’s happening to my unit. Our water pressure is fine.
Anyone have any ideas on other things this could be? Thanks in advance.
