This thread is super old but this could be caused by a bad purge valve in the evap system. I'm currently dealing with a gas leak back at the tank. Only on fillups. I've got it narrowed down to filler neck, filler neck lines or fuel lines. Filler neck makes more sense, since it's only on fillups.
