The battery is most likely defective. Had the same problem. Return it and get ur money back if you can.  I had past the 90 days for return and had to return to Ematic. It has been a year and still haven't received replacement or refund. Their customer service is horrendous, they don't do anything and don't know anything. Get your money back if you can. Thank s company is shady to say the least.
