Hi @jimgentry ,
Here’s a link to the ifixit [guide|114633] guide.
It is useful as it shows how to open the phone so that access to the micro USB charging port is possible.
Here’s a image taken from Step.5 in the guide showing the USB port. It appears as though it is supported in position by a bracket but I think that it will be a SMD (surface mount device) type component and you will need SMD tools and expertise to do the repair.

Here’s a link to just one [https://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-Huawei-Ascend-XT-H1611-Dock-Connector-Charger-Micro-USB-Charging-Port-USA-/112971567060|supplier] of the part. It is shown just to give you an idea of what the part looks like and its’ cost.
There are other suppliers online that may suit you better. Just search for ''Huawei Ascend XT USB connector part'' to get results.
-If the SMD repair seems too daunting, contact a reputable, professional mobile phone or electronics repair service and ask for a quote to do the replacement of the USB connector only. You provide the dis-assembled phone and new USB connector and will do the re-assembly after the repair. This should reduce the cost to you as they don’t have to spend time opening and closing the phone or sourcing the correct part. Just a thought.
