i’ve got a broken GoPro Hero5 Session (Device is not on here yet) and i want to open it up. Some guides show, that the Hull at the side of the lens is only glued and can be opened after applying some heat. I have access to alle the equipment needed (heat gun, rework station, tools to open smartphone cases) to open it up but i don’t know which duration and settings i need at the rework station for example. The teardown guide on this website of the Hero4 Session is way to brutal. :’D
Can someone with the knowledge of rework stations give me some hints about tackling this glue issue?

It seems the results differ from Cam to Cam. I’ve seen some people getting it open with their rework station set at 350°C. Somehow mine won’t budge even a little bit by that temperature so i’ve startet tearing it open. Next issue is not destroying the boards which hide directly beneath the outer hull.

Will update again when i get that candidate open. There should have been other ways to get this thing that sturdy…
