Why when viewing an app on my tablet, it will jump back to the home page?

When viewing Facebook, I go to read the article and I read about half of the article and it goes back to the main page of Facebook and I loose the article. While playing a game it sometimes goes back to the home page of my tablet. Why? I restored the tablet back to the default.
