Light on but speaker will not turn on

Hello, when the charging cord in plugged into the speaker,  the white charging light comes on and stays solid white.  The speaker will not turn on at all.  I have tried everything i have read.  The speaker will not come in even when plugged in.  What is my next step?[br]
