Stripped screw of battery compartment

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

The battery compartment of the Roomba 770 has two screws. One of the two screws is completely stripped.

There is no remainder of the original drive slots. I tried putting some rubber sheet between the screw head and the screwdriver tip to increase traction, no result.

I want to access the battery compartment to put in the new battery I bought, as the screw is stripped I have no means of opening it. Everything else is intact. Can I somehow work my way around this? How can I remove the stripped screw? If necessary to buy addtional tools: I do not have much budget for this project.

Tools I own:

BLACK+DECKER Li2000 3.6-Volt 3 Position Rechargeable Screwdriver

Black & Decker 71-081 Double Ended Screwdriving Bit Set, 10-Piece
