Hi There,

I had this happen to mine as well. If I recall, something came out of the drive such as the cord. Even after putting it in a different case, it would not read the drive. Basically, it went into needing a fix mode, which could have been done but I had a passcode on it and it would not allow me to access the login to get into it.

It did not tell me that it needed to be unlocked with a code, so you wouldn’t know otherwise. [br]

I just recalled that discovery. '''''Did you passcode it?'''''[br]

If so, I do think you can get your data off of it. I was quoted $300 from a local computer fixit shop. They weren’t sure if they could get all of it off…

I had backed up most of that so I just let it go. But….I know your pain.

'''''If you didn't passcode i'''''t, the only thing I came across as a solution was to be sure '''''to assign that drive a letter.''''' You can do that manually in the computer, just do a search on that. K, let me know how that goes!
