There's no limit on the hard drive size on this machine. Do not go back to the person that told you this, either they don't know what they're talking about or they have a 250 GB drive they're trying to move. This machine uses a standard 3" drive SATA drive. Drop a 2 TB drive in it if you want, I got one at Best Buy yesterday that would work just fine for $99.99. I currently have three of this type of machine. You can also upgrade the processor on it (I've done it). If vertical lines ever appear on the screen come back as there is a free fix on it from Apple.
