How much does it cost to have the screen replaced?

I was wondering what Apple charged for replacing the display for a 15” mid-2014 Macbook Pro? It is out of warranty and very badly scratched!

I’ve added a photo, which actually makes it look worse that is. For the most part, I forget the scratches are there whilst I’m using my MacBook, but every now and again it annoys me.

As to how it happened? I’m not entirely sure! I think it' has been over time due to poor cleaning attempt and potentially my cat!!
I'm not comfortable that I could follow those instructions successfully myself. It’d be great to find a private repairer instead of Apple. I am in Australia.
