Finally what worked for me was using Option 1 and using the Rufus application to create a bootable USB. Previously used “Uiniversal USB installer” and it was giving be grub4dos error. I used Rufus and created an MBR partition type in USB and on reboot select EFI USB as device and from there followed the Ubuntu instructions for setup on a 25gb space.
