CTO High res screen Logic board interchangable w/normal screen

I have severely dented the upper case assembly of my CTO MBP9.1 2.3GHz (the one with the silver antiglare 1050p screen)
so I can’t close the lid anymore, but everything else works fine.
I’m looking into buying an electronically defunct one of the same make except with a normal screen and swapping the screen assembly and electronics (logic board, touchpad etc.) with mine, can I expect this idea to work?
(does the CTO have different mounting points?)
I have called and visited every single option available to me locally, all of them have either turned me down due to being “premium” or they just didn’t know.
you guys are my last hope so any help with this would be gladly appreciated. x
