You may just have a defective replacement part.
# Try disconnecting the flex (disconnect the battery first) to see if the phone will boot.
# If it does, the try connecting the original flex to see if the phone will at least power on.
That should tell you if the replacement flex is causing the issue or not. You don’t need to fully disassemble the exiting one, just connect the old on in an overlapped condition.
