-No video at boot despite some fixes
+Questions on cpu temperature

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

-On going saga-original symptom was dark screen at boot or initial screen that turned black with the black “oozing down” from the top till whole screen went black. Could reboot and after several reboots computer ran fine-good picture and functionality. Then again nothing at reboot. Based upon web info, replaced caps and inverter. After inverter replacement, boot gave 3 chime memory warning-no video. Changed memory and it rebooted fine with good screen and functionality. Yesterday-boot with OS 10.5 install disk in optical drive+option C. System quit without warning during “Utility-repair disk disk” on hard drive. Today, boot with Option C and install disk. NO VIDEO!
+To deal with “no video” problem, I performed tear down to logic board level; installed new caps; “heated” board with heat lamps-used Arcticsilver for heat sink; Now have video and apparently have normal operation - but I am concerned about CPU temp -seems to run at 59+C. Questions: At what temp should cpu fan speed up? Will computer do an automatic shut down if cpu gets to hot?
-Can someone tell me where on the logic board are the video chip(s) so I can check/”reball” them?
+Thanks
