Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 won’t connect to internet

I have a Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 that will no longer connect to the internet, thus I cannot directly download purchased music to it. It seems like it is trying to connect to the internet but it never does. I’m not a techie so I don’t know if this is the same issue as the optimizing issue that has been discussed. Does anyone know what the problem might be and what I can try to do to fix it? Thanks.
