i know its an old thread, but i may have an answer for anyone running into the same issue.
Check if the headphones connect to other devices… a computer or cell phone or whatever… and if it works fine with other devices, chances are that you may have conflicting bluetooth software on your computer.
Personally, i had fried a network card, replaced it, and couldnt get any bluetooth accessories to connect. Problem was that the old network card’s bluetooth software was still on the computer, conflicting with the new bluetooth software from the new network card.
I attempted to circumvent by buying a bluetooth dongle… but still had the same issue… now the dongle’s software was conflicting with both other bluetooth softwares. A kind soul at the dongle company sent me a detailed email of how to get wipe all the bluetooth software from my computer and reinstall only the new network card software, and voila, bluetooth worked perfect for all my accessories.
