Water dispenses but the ice maker does not make ice.

My Samsung side by side dispenses water but it will not make ice. The ice maker functions when you press the reset button but still will not make ice. I figured it just wasn’t getting water so I replaced the solenoid and still nothing. I see alot of replacing the filter but if the filter was clogged wouldn’t I not be getting water dispensed? Water line is not frozen because we had to shut it down to have the thermistor replaced at which the repair guy also said the ice maker was working. I’ll replace the ice maker before I call him back again. Any one have this same issue and know the solution?
