I have 2006 Honda Civic EX. My aux port has a cover that I have to pull down to open, so it leans on the aux cable pushing it up. Currently, when I plug an aux cable into the aux port, nothing happens. If I push down on the cable jack, there is a temporary connection for a few seconds. I know the best fix is to get a new aux port for the car, but I was wondering if there is some trick to help with the connection. Some odd way to enhance the jack connection by doing something to it. Any help would be appreciated.
