Device overheats easily and has become noisy

I recorded a long video on my Lumia 1020 once, since then it overheats easily and is really noisy. There is this whirring noise coming from the camera when ever I use the device. The quality of the pictures taken hasn't diminished so I'd like to keep it on hand specifically to take pictures (especially when traveling).

What do I need to do to fix it?
