Since I became eligible to order a new but far weaker laptop (14" vs. 17" display, AMD A10-8730B vs. Intel i7) at work, I would like to know if there is a kind of predictable life expectation for this laptop. My current HP 8570w has a new SSD, so there is no risk of HDD failure. Some of my other laptops however had a mainboard failure after around 5 years, and my klunky 8570 already has over 6 years on it.
