Not sure if you have, because it was not mentioned, but did you test the original screen? There is a possibility that the board is damaged and may not be providing enough power to the LCD itself.

In this case you will need a board specialist to determine which one is damaged, soldering is required for this. @refectio may be the guy to provide direction or assistance.
