Well my fix was the bottom 1/4 hex.  But be careful using rolls of toilet paper to support the washer got me in trouble , there not round any more.  imagine fixing a washer on father's day in ten minutes saving 100 dollars only to hear the toilet paper won't fit on the rolls.  :)
